The present Methodological Proposal aims to optimize the teaching of children's literature as a fundamental tool in the learning process, in the area of Language and Literature (sub-area of reading), in the students of the fourth year of Basic General Education with a compendium of methodological strategies. It is focused on the constructive theories lineaments, which are based on the communicative approach of the language, support of the methodological strategies that encourage students to develop the literature skills.
