Resumen
The municipality of Santana, in the State of Amapá, struggling to promote proper disposal of Municipal Solid Waste - MSW, given the lack of locational alternatives for the implementation of a landfill and the lack of public policies that could facilitate the solution of this problem related to disposal of MSW. For this reason, the present study investigated the existence of potential areas for the allocation of landfill in the municipality of Santana by using the Multicriteria Analysis. To do it was analyzed 9 technical criteria, here called Favourable Environmental Factors (Geology - FAF1, Geomorphology - FAF2, Pedology - FAF3 Vegetation - FAF4) and Restrictive Environmental Factors (Distance from Water Course - FAR1, Distance from Centers Urban - FAR2, Restricted Areas - FAR3, Distance from Airports - FAR4 and Population Density - FAR5) that were submitted to the pair comparison processes together, supported by the use of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Weighted Linear Combination (WLC). From the analysis of various factors (FAF and FAR) was possible to build new units of analysis that resulted in the development of a potential scenario, represented by a synthesis map of capabilities that can be used as a tool support in the decision making process when selecting areas for landfill facility in the municipality of Santana. The results indicate that the areas with the greatest potential suitability for landfill facility in Santana are located in the central area of the municipality in territorial range that extends northeast and southwest regions, and part of the northwest region of the city. The areas with less potential are located in the southern portion of the southwest region, territorial range distributed the nearby Vila Nova River to the District Anauerapucu, and the extreme north municipality. The area locations that had total restriction conditions are located in the southeast of the city, covered by the Macrozone Urban, part of the island of Santana and Anauerapucu District. Thus, the contribution of this research for regional development, can be achieved with a view to identify potential areas for landfill allocation to facilitate the decision-making process of technical teams and municipal managers, therefore, an important tool able to assist the actions of Urban Regional Planning and Environmental Zoning, adjusting the Santana municipality of the premises established by the National Solid Waste Policy - NSWP, regarding the management and proper disposal of municipal solid waste
