Feminine lyric subject: procedure for characterize the configuration of feminine identities. Lina de Feria

Abstract

The scarce existence of critical-literary studies based on the lyric subject variable (SL in Spanish) and researches addressed to Lina de Feria’s poetic work (2019 National Literature Prize) encouraged the research presented as Bachelor of Arts thesis which now is synthesized into the following paper. We carried out a conceptualization of the feminine lyric subject category (SLF in Spanish) (in molar and molecular terms) starting from a broad theoretical framework that has dealt with the lyric subject and the gender studies from a multidisciplinary perspective. Its objective is to characterize the SLF regarding to the configuration of feminine identity and its relation to female body, erotism, old age, physical and social environments. The corpus gathered 99 poems where the SLF was explicit and 180 poems were the SLF was implicit in 20 Lina de Feria’s poetry books. As a result, it was determined that the SLF possesses and bequeaths a singular projection of the feminine aspect where the assumption of the feminine identity it’s not restricted to the antagonism of the feminine-masculine psychosocial construct, instead, it goes beyond. The main finding is the emancipated expression of personal, generic and cultural identities as well as the legitimization of the free human being. The results confirmed that the SLF category grants access to the complex relationship between personal identity and collective gender identity as well as their intrinsic relationship with the poetic. It represents the contribution of a proper analysis procedure for the feminist literary criticism.

La escasa presencia de estudios crítico-literarios a partir de la variable sujeto lírico (SL) y de investigaciones que aborden la obra poética de Lina de Feria (Premio Nacional de Literatura 2019) impulsó la investigación presentada como tesis de Licenciatura en Letras, que ahora se sintetiza en la siguiente ponencia. A partir de un marco teórico amplio que ha abordado el sujeto lírico y los estudios de género desde una perspectiva multidisciplinaria, se procedió a la conceptualización de la categoría sujeto lírico femenino (SLF) (en términos molares y moleculares). Su objetivo es caracterizar al SLF a partir de las configuraciones de la identidad femenina y su relación con el cuerpo femenino, el erotismo, la vejez, el entorno físico y el entorno social. El corpus recogió 99 poemas con SLF explícito y 180 poemas con el SLF velado en veinte poemarios de Lina de Feria. Como resultado, se determinó que el SLF posee y lega una proyección singular de lo femenino, donde la asunción de la identidad femenina no se restringe al antagonismo del constructo psicosocial femenino­masculino, antes lo supera en la redención del otro. El hallazgo principal es la expresión emancipada de las identidades personales, genéricas y culturales y la legitimación del ser humano libre. A partir del resultado se comprobó que la categoría SLF permite acceder a la compleja relación entre identidad personal e identidad colectiva de género y su intrínseca relación con lo poético. Constituye el aporte de un procedimiento de análisis propio para la crítica literaria feminista.
