The objective of this study is to shape the Chilean legal system when a same damage is caused by multiple tortfeasors. We conclude that articles 1511 and 2317 of the Civil Code are closely interrelated, and consequently, cannot be utilize extensive interpretation to article 2317. For that reason, we propose some delimitation criteria.
