Hegel, metafísica del mal y ontologización del presente

Abstract

La modernidad es Nova aetas, entendiendo por ello la definición filosófica que Hegel le da a ésta: lo nuevo que rompe con lo viejo, condenado por tanto a ser siempre presente, siempre actual. Es el presente que nos asedia por todas partes y no deja de invitarnos al olvido de las cosas pasadas. Ninguna necesidad de ir en su ayuda pues éste está ahí. Ninguna necesidad, por tanto, de predicar el olvido entre los hombres: basta con que nos dejemos llevar y ceder a las demandas de lo actual, es decir, a la ley del más fuerte.

Modernity is Nova aetas. I understand this concept with the philosophical definition that Hegel gives to it: the new thing that breaks with the old, condemned therefore to be always present. It is the present that besieges us throughout and invites us to forget the past things. There is no necessity to go in its aid because is there. Is no necesary to talk about the forgetfulness in the humaniy, it is enough that we take the demands of the present or the law of the most strong.
