El modelo educativo de Finlandia ¿es aplicable en México?

Abstract

El caso de la excelencia educativa en Finlandia evidente en los últimos años ha ocasionado que profesionales de la educación y las ciencias sociales de todo el mundo pongan sus ojos en la estructura y fundamentos del sistema finlandés para su estudio. Se hará un análisis de los principales pilares y principios en los que se basa este modelo de educación a través de entrevistas a académicos, a la embajadora de Finlandia en México y a algunos de los especialistas involucrados en el tema. Asimismo se presentará una síntesis del contexto geográfico, histórico, social y cultural del país en sí mismo y la influencia que han tenido todos estos factores en la construcción de uno de los mejores sistemas de educación del mundo.

Th e case of the educational excellence in Finland that has become evident in recent years, has caused education and social sciences professionals from all over the world to turn their eyes on the structure and basis of the Finnish educational system for its study. An analysis of the basic principles on which this model of education is based will be made through interviews with academics, the ambassador of Finland in Mexico and some of the specialists in the subject. It also mentions a brief version of the geographical, historical, social and cultural context of the country itself and the infl uence of all these factors in the construction of one of the best education systems in the world.
