This monograph entitled "The school management and family participatory process at school: vision of the directors", whose general purpose was to identify and analyze how is the family participation in school management and the teaching and learning at municipal schools in Lagoa Bonita do Sul-RS. The case study was collected through a questionnaire with the managers of the six public schools in the city municipality. Through reading different authors, knowledgeable of these issues, it was identified that there are differentiated characteristics as well as uniform characteristics as participatory democratic school management. The active participation of the family, was established as a fundamental element of education, whether of lower grades to upper grades of elementary school. Also relates the learning process by integrating parents / students / school, the family participation as a prime factor in developing the school student success. The research has shown that the public schools in Lagoa Bonita do Sul, most families participate in the school life of their children and the school management, however, this does not happen in all schools, the results showed disparity in the participation of the school community between schools surveyed. It was concluded that education needs more effort and attention of families together with the school managers and teachers. Some managers showed use innovative and differentiated proposal in way to manage and organize your role as a school manager. It is up to the school manager, create ways to overcome the difficulties regarding the effective participation of parents in the school environment.
