Resumen
This paper provides information about indirect field oriented vector control systems for syn chronous reluctance machines. These machines are built from sinusoidally distributed windings
in the stator with the rotor made of ferromagnetic material, which results in an efficient motor
as it does not contain losses due to rotor currents. The main characteristics of the synchronous
reluctance machine are high energy efficiency, low production and maintenance costs, as well
as high robustness. In this way, the synchronous reluctance motor can replace the induction
motor in industrial applications, which provides energy savings, since synchronous reluctance
motors have higher efficiency. The work presents a mathematical model of the synchronous
reluctance motor, which is used for the design of controllers and for computer simulations in
discrete time. This paper also describes the building and operation of an experimental platform
to drive and control the motor. This platform performs measurement acquisitions and signal
conditioning that are necessary for the execution of the vector control. The experimental results
obtained allow validating the operation of the designed control system.
