Resumen
This dissertation presents a poetic research in Visual Arts in the field of Art and
Technology. It has videoperformance as a research object, its theme being time. For
this poetic investigation, it presents the elements air, fire, earth and water, explored
in the videoperformances. In his methodology, he explores the act of walking through
unknown places as a process of artistic creation, as well as the cartographic method.
Initially, it deals with the creation process, in which immersions were carried out in
five different cities, making captures in video, and presents them in its raw form,
without editions. Still, it brings two videoperformances that seeks to relate time with
the elements water and air. Subsequently, it makes a survey about the context of
video art and videoperformance and its emergence in Brazil. In discussing the
meeting of videoperformance and the four elements, he presents five videoperformances
developed in sequence-plan, in which he relates subjective questions
about time through the elements earth and fire, presenting links with performance
artists and videoperformance: Richard Long, Marina Abramovic, Tunga, Minoosh
Zomorodinia, Noara Quintana and Andressa Cantergiani. Finally, it proposes
temporal relations through the editions of previous performances, relating such
temporalities to the concept of duration of Henri Bergson.
