Resumen
Distance Education (EAD), consolidated as an educational modality, arousing over
time, and a fundamental debate for those who are reflecting about the direction of
education in a society increasingly interconnected by digital technology networks. At
present, it is observed the accelerated development of software and network
technologies created or adapted to serve this expanding market. Thus, the present
dissertation aimed to analyze through a case study in a private higher education
institution the networked educational technologies that make up a model of EAD
governance, in particular the control of evasion (GVWise) and eletronic document
management (Docuware), highlighting the limits and potentialities of tools when used
within the context of collaborative governance. The procedures adopted for the
research were bibliographic research, documentary analysis and analysis of the
technological tools directed to educational governance. The technique adopted in the
bibliographic research was direct observation, analysis of documents and
technological tools, fiches and abstracts. In this way, the dissertation was inserted in
the Network Educational Technologies Management Line of the Master in Network
Educational Technologies, which obtained as a product a comparative parallel
between the management processes carried out before the inclusion of the
technological tools, and after their inclusion, allied to the theory of base based on
reference authors in the study of information society, where it was possible to verify
the potentialities that the educational technologies in network propitiate the academic
governance in the EAD modality, besides proposing a governance model applied to
the control of evasion using the educational technologies networks studied.
