Abstract
This thesis is product of one investigation that presents the relationship between structural circumstances that accompany the occupational scenario of the New Colombian Teaching Professionalization Statute and the subjective performances - conscious or unconscious - that a group of teachers in Bogotá perform to face them. Its objective is to understand the configuration process of professional trajectories and future expectations of teachers who joined educational practice after the approval of the aforementioned legislation. The conceptual basis of the study starts from the sociology of teaching and the sociology of individuation. Therefore, it begins by identifying the fundamental socio-historical characteristics of the transformation of the teaching job world under the notion of “teacher professionalization”. Then, it addresses the individuation processes of teachers through an articulated study of "social proof" and "supports". Finally, it uses the concept of “socio-existential moorings” to analyze the future expectations that teachers design in response to structural challenges. The methodological approach is qualitative, therefore, a technical-bureaucratic documentary review of legislations was made, and the narratives of four teachers were reconstructed through the development of comprehensive interviews. The individuation processes and expectations show the decision systems that teachers carry out, taking into account a structure of relationships and social possibilities; also their motivations to continue in the classroom and the challenges they face within an increasingly inconsistent educational scenario, which marks an encounter with labor logics of a post-industrialized modernity.
