Resumen
The purpose of this research project is to demonstrate that the absence of a public policy, designed for the second-generation memory, for the sons and daughters of forced displacement victims, allows the continued transmission of memories of traumatic events to future generations. The work argues that second-generation memory, being an unexplored phenomenon in Colombia, is not integrated into public policy, making it difficult to overcome the effects of forced displacement experienced by adults. The appropriation of victimizing events by minors and the lack of psychosocial care have serious consequences for children, such as effects on sleep cycles and feelings of fear or revenge for events that they did not experience and against armed groups that they did not encounter firsthand. A mixed methodology was used based on documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews carried out with the minors and their guardians, combined with a textual analysis of drawings and letters made by the children.
