Resumen
Introduction: The Louis Pasteur Emergency Center is today a top-level social enterprise of the State with more than 70 years of history, which from the beginning has focused on ensuring humanized, timely, efficient and effective care. It was founded by Federico Arbeláez and Elisa Molina de Arbeláez who are responsible for the donation of the land on which it is currently located. Today, the Louis Pasteur ESE Emergency Center has outpatient services, isolation for covid patients, dentistry, delivery room, sterilization, clinical laboratory, pharmacy, emergencies, vaccination, physical therapy, x-rays, 2 ambulances for basic care transfer and a mobile unit ; In addition, it has extramural services in the health posts of the Chimbí, Inalí, Buena Vista and Cualamaná villages. The institution identified the need to carry out a training plan that would allow healthcare personnel to reinforce their knowledge about the use and main parts of each medical device. In addition, creating tools that provide concise and effective information, that optimize the time and resources of the biomedical engineering area and that are easily accessible for all personnel who require it. Objective: Design and implement a training plan for the emergency service assistance personnel, in order to generate a change in knowledge about the management and use of the main medical equipment of this service; in addition, to develop guides for quick handling of this equipment. Methodology: The development of the project was divided into six different phases: Identification of equipment and collection of information, design and implementation of the test for the validation of the knowledge of healthcare personnel, design and implementation of training, implementation of the post-training test, validation of the training and planning and design of the quick handling guides. In the first phase, 6 medical teams were chosen and all the relevant information was gathered in order to develop the training plan and the rapid management guides. In phase two, the knowledge of the healthcare personnel on each of these teams was identified. For phase 3, the trainings were designed and implemented. In phase 4 a post-training test is implemented. For phase 5, the statistical analysis of the pre and post-test tests is carried out in order to contrast the results and identify if there were any significant changes. Finally, in phase 6, the quick handling guides are designed and implemented for each of the selected teams. Results: The results obtained from the statistical analysis of the pre and post tests using the Student's T test are presented. These results were represented in tables and graphs for a better understanding of the reader. The quick handling guides for each piece of equipment are also presented, which contain information on the use, handling and main parts of each piece of equipment. They also contain a QR code that, when scanned, redirects to the video tutorial for each team. Conclusion: From the development of the objectives set for this project, it was concluded that the training processes imparted had a significant impact on the personnel, which was evidenced by an improvement in knowledge about the management and use of the selected medical equipment.
