In Colombia, over the past five years, the restaurant industry has grown 6,1%
annually, according to the Colombian Association of Foodservice Industry
(Acodres). In this way, the cuisine has attracted new business segment and has
given life to a market of consumers demanding and selective. The trend of healthy
food, cooking as social space and originality, will continue to be major players for
this sector.
This business plan aims to demonstrate the feasibility and the great opportunity
that is being present today in the city of Santiago de Cali, for establishment of a gourmet restaurant in Granada, because Cali has been specialized this area to the
point that has becomes a focus to encouragement the restaurant industry to
national wide.
The proposal will be presented below in the document, it´s about the creating a
TEX-MEX restaurant in Granada, whose target is young people between 24 and 50
years with a high socioeconomic level from the city of Cali and surrounding
The project requires an initial investment of sixty one million five hundred
thousand Colombian pesos (COP$61.500.000), which generated in the first year of
sales (2012) earnings for COL$22,334,811, recovering in the second year the
investment.
For the success of this business will be implemented teamwork policies,
empowerment end quality control of inputs and finished products. However, the
main risk involve are roads currently closed for the megaobras, that cause a
decrease in customers, other risk it´s the penetration if renowned international
restaurants to this area.
