This present work has as main theme the educomunication and the process of development of children and youth protagonism, in which gives an account of of this experience at the Instituto Estadual Padre Caetano, Santa Maria - RS, in the occasion of the consolidation of radio school and the completion of the workshop Diction, Speech, and Disinhibition, which used the school radio as a tool, entered in the Educom_UFSM Program. Through this report we seek to answer the following question: in what way educomunication provides and estimulates the development of children and youth protagonism? So, its general objective is to investigate how the educomunication provides and encourages the development of children and youth protagonism. Furthermore, this paper proposes to theoretically study the relationship between educational communication and juvenile protagonism, analyze the impacts in the process of communication empowerment of the program's participants from this school, especially the Radio School and taught workshops, from the teacher’s perception of the educomunicative process in school.
