| dc.description.abstract | This research was developed through the application of data collection instrument (questionnaire), aiming to address the issue of environmental education among working environment and above all understand how environmental educators can help in the prevention of accidents and in maintaining quality worker's life in his working environment. The study takes into consideration the issue of environmental awareness in fifteen shops (pharmacies, supermarkets, car dealerships, furniture stores, home appliances and construction materials) in the neighborhood Camobi, Santa Maria, RS, seeking to raise awareness among workers regarding work environment, including protective measures, risk prevention and quality of life. Environmental education opens up alternative spaces for dialogue and partnership, and develop environmental sensitivity in both the individual level and the collective space. In the workplace, this way of doing education - through the development of environmental awareness in the work environment, generates information and fundamental knowledge workers in an informal learning environment: the work environment. Accordingly, we seek to reconcile the practical and theoretical experience of environmental educators through the assistance of workers in their places of a dialogic form, integrating scientific and academic issues that relate to each other. The overall goal of this work is therefore based on the analysis of the development of environmental awareness can help in preventing accidents and improving the quality of life of workers in their environment work, given the contemporary theme. Insofar as issues related to the environment of work aimed at reducing the risk of contingent liabilities labor, companies necessarily need to invest in the quality of life of workers, partly with the aid of environmental educators. The questionnaires on the issue of environmental awareness in the work environment results in data collection to subsidize basic information as a basis for making an informational brochure to be distributed at participating research firms. Therefore, from the analysis of responses, despite the general understanding of issues that pervade the environment work environment (concepts, rules for accident prevention, requirements and use of protective equipment, etc.), it can be concluded that the majority of respondents has a merely "space" on the environment of the work, ie, an understanding not very clear and specific vision on the multiple dimensions of the topic. | |
