O professor como gestor da sala de aula: desafios e possibilidades

The present monograph of Specialization in Educational Management has as central theme the teacher as manager of the classroom: challenge and possibilities. Thus, the general objective is to analyze the challenges and possibilities encountered by the teachers of Early Childhood Education in a private school in Santa Maria / RS to become managers of their classrooms. The accomplishment of this study, which is characterized by a qualitative research, like case study, listed some specific objectives: to understand how the pedagogical practices constitute in the day to day of the teachers; identify and reflect on the spaces of teacher training; understand the challenges and possibilities for teachers to perceive themselves as the classroom manager. Initially, a mapping of the researched themes was done. Afterwards, data were collected, with five female teachers, from a private school in Santa Maria / RS, using the questionnaire previously developed as an instrument. Then, the obtained answers were observed, making a parallel with the theoretical reference, in order to use as a methodology the analysis of the content thus obtained. The results pointed out that the participants surveyed find many challenges within the school, in addition, few moments are provided for the dialogue and exchanges of experiences.
