Thinking about public school quality in Brazil as the educational Institution
responsible for basic education of most citizens, it is perceived as relevant to
approach Educators of Patrimonial Education. Based on this assumption, the
objective of this study was to investigate how managers of public schools that meet
the modality of Education for Young and Adults (EJA) perceive the theme Patrimonial
Education. In order to seek answers to the questions proposed in this research, we
proceeded to the collection, description and careful analysis of the data, based on the
literature research and field work, in a qualitative approach. Participants were
managers of public schools that meet the modality of Education for Young and Adults
(EJA) in elementary school in the town of Santa Maria, in the state of Rio Grande do
Sul (RS). The survey results demonstrated that most managers realize the
importance and the need of developing a teaching job involving the Patrimonial
Education in schools as a way to know, appreciate and respect the different cultural
manifestations of people. At the same time, they recognize the need to increase the
theme for the Continuing Education of Teachers, with the objective of expanding knowledge.
