This paper investigates possible contributions of online tools for teaching writing. From empirical observations made in class with elementary school students, we have analyzed the potential of collaborative websites and blogs as well as identified possible challenges to the pedagogical use of these technological resources. The results show that the publication of the students’ texts on blogs and websites and the interaction with their readers provided by these tools can contribute to the development of textual production.
