The amendment in the Colombians Constitution, adding fiscal sustainability criteria that must be applied to all actions of the State, was implemented as a way to placate the state spending for to achieve two objectives that are to maintain the state of public debt to manageable stops, that is to say, reduce debt and have macroeconomic stability, according to the national government with these two pillars a stable climate for foreign investment will ensure the country predicting and economic boom sustained and general welfare of the national future. In this paper has a judicious study of this criterion, their economic motivations, how to congressional approval of the republic and the role of the Colombian State in the formulation of legislation and the consequences that arise in this is done once approved the criterion of fiscal sustainability. In the course of the essay will would understand that the criterion of sustainability tax is consequence of a process of economic globalization and a measure that inserted to the Colombian economy in the global trend of free flow of goods, capital and service, it has shown just economic benefit large, multinational, transnational and productive sectors of power countries at the expense of economic sectors in other countries, and concludes that the criterion of fiscal sustainability is not a good decision and involves a fundamental change in the model of the state that has been collapse of the national economy and gives way to a knockout enforcement of fundamental rights.
