Inserción mexicana en Asia Pacífico: una mirada desde la diplomacia económica (2000-2012)

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the change of Mexican economic and trade policy in Asia Pacific, by implementing economic diplomacy from 2000 to 2012. To do this, two key factors were identified. The first stems from the transfer of power from one party to another; the second is given by rising economies of Asia Pacific and its performance in the global economic and financial architecture. It was also determined how was the process of implementing economic diplomacy, by the Mexican State, taking as reference the theory of complex interdependence, given by Robert Keohane and Joseph Nye Finally, aspects resulting from the implementation of economic diplomacy, as trade agreements, memorandum of understanding were analyzed.
