El desarrollo de este programa está basado en la literatura actual sobre la enseñanza de la escritura en un nivel académico. Se ha tomado en cuenta las iniciativas de otros países que iniciaron proyectos de este tipo para, en base de esa experiencia, crear un programa que responda a las necesidades de estudiantes de alto rendimiento del colegio COAR Lima.This paper highlights the necessity to develop writing skills in our students who are going to be enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program, it means academic writing. Our main concern is how to achieve better results in our students writing tasks by enriching students’ writing competence using some strategies to help them organize their ideas throughout the developing of the Writing in Action Program (WAP). For that reason, a set of gradual, designed material is proposed to be applied by students in a number of seventeen lessons in a period of two months, in order to make our students skillful in academic writing and continue their academic life in a more successful way.
