Prevalencia de hipoplasia de esmalte dental en dos estratos sociales, en la I.E.P. 70117 CHURO – I.E.P. 70010 GUESC – Puno, en niños de 6 a 12 años

La hipoplasia es una patología que se presenta con más frecuencia en la población infantil, sin embargo, aún no se conoce el factor etiológico. Objetivo: determinar la prevalencia de hipoplasia de esmalte dental en dos estratos sociales en la I.E.P. 70117 Churo – I.E.P. 70010 GUESC-Puno, en niños de 6 a 12 años - 2019. Materiales y métodos: se trabajó con 120 estudiantes, 40 de la I.E.P. Churo y 80 de la I.E.P. GUE San Carlos, cumpliendo los criterios de inclusión y previó permiso, con la ayuda de una fuente lumínica se diferenció el espesor del esmalte e identificó la existencia de bandas de hipoplasia y la colecta de agua se realizó del manantial de Churo Península y Agua Potable Salcedo - Puno enviándose al Laboratorio de Aguas y Suelos de la UNA-Puno. Los datos analizados se presentan en tablas de frecuencias y figuras. Resultados: la I.E.P. Churo presenta una prevalencia del 22.5%, destacando el sexo masculino con 26.1% y sexo femenino con 17.6%, mientras que en la I.E.P. GUE San Carlos se tiene una prevalencia de hipoplasia mayor del 50%, y sobresale el sexo femenino con 58.3%. Respecto a las edades, en la I.E.P. Churo sufren mayor prevalencia de hipoplasia en un 33.3% los estudiantes de 12 años y el tipo I de hipoplasia sobresale con el 77.8%. En la I.E.P. GUE San Carlos se observa mayor prevalencia de 22.5% en la edad de 8 años y sobresale también el tipo I con 77.5%. En cuanto a la relación entre la prevalencia de hipoplasia y hábitos alimenticios existe una relación del 11% en I.E.P. Churo y en la otra institución el 23%. Conclusiones: la I.E.P. Churo presenta menor hipoplasia del 22.5% y 50% la I.E.P. San Carlos, con relación del 11% y 23% para hábitos alimenticios respectivamente. Tesis
