Funcionamiento familiar y riesgo suicida en adolescentes

Poner resumEste estudio cuantitativo descriptivo correlacional, se realizó en la Institución Educativa Emblemática San Juan, desde marzo a octubre del 2020 para determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de funcionamiento familiar y el riesgo suicida en adolescentes. La muestra estuvo conformada por 103 adolescentes que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Para obtener la información se emplearon dos instrumentos: “Escala de evaluación de cohesión y adaptabilidad familiar - FACES III” y “Escala de riesgo suicida modificado”. Los resultados obtenidos se presentan en tablas simples y dobles en forma de números y porcentajes. Para el análisis el análisis estadístico se empleó la prueba de independencia de criterios chi cuadrado. Las conclusiones fueron las siguientes: del funcionamiento familiar, se encontró un 59.2% en nivel medio, 23.3% nivel balanceado y 17.5% nivel extremo. Y con respecto al riesgo suicida; 86.4% presentaron un alto riesgo; 11.7%, riesgo moderado; y, 1.9%, riesgo leve. No existe una relación estadística significativa entre las variables de estudio. Sin embargo, la tendencia muestra que cualquiera fuere el nivel de funcionamiento familiar existirá la tendencia de riesgo suicida en adolescentes (X2 = 1.399 p = 0.4969).en

This quantitative descriptive correlational study was carried out at the San Juan Emblematic Educational Institution, from March to October 2020 to determine the relationship between the level of family functioning and suicide risk in adolescents. The sample consisted of 103 adolescents who met the inclusion criteria. To obtain the information, two instruments were used: “Family Cohesion and Adaptability Assessment Scale - FACES III” and “Modified Suicidal Risk Scale”. The results obtained are presented in single and double tables in the form of numbers and percentages. For the analysis the statistical analysis was used the independence test of chi square criteria. The conclusions were as follows: of family functioning, 59.2% were found at the medium level, 23.3% at the balanced level, and 17.5% at the extreme level. And with regard to suicide risk; 86.4% presented a high risk; 11.7%, moderate risk; and, 1.9%, slight risk. There is no statistically significant relationship between the study variables. However, the trend shows that whatever the level of family functioning there will be a tendency for suicidal risk in adolescents (X2 = 1.399 p = 0.4969).
