Resumen
Photoprotective effect of the dark purple- corn extract formulated in gel was assessed in the presence of the acute, subacute photodamage and photoaging for radiation UV - C using an economic method at the same time rapid to appraise this effect through the presence and grade of lesions in model cutaneous murine. The dark purple- corn extract was formulated in gel to different concentrations: 0, 25; 0,15 and 0,05 P/V. In order to the bioassays, it’s used 35 females Mus musculus Balb/c of 7 weeks old, divided in five experimental groups, to them as applied them radiation UV - C for 30 minutes once a day during four months. Previously to the group B0 were applied the gel vehicle and the three groups ( B1, B2, B3) received the different dose of the preparation of dark purple corn, the group A was control. Its was determined of subacute photodamage for the lesions degrees of erythema and of edema using Draize scale, were evaluated daily. In order to the subacute photodamage determination, hiperkeratosis area was determined and finally photoaging grade was evaluated using Glogau's scale. The results more significant was with treatment with dose 0,25 P/V ante the face of the radiation's action - C, because it was obtained than 71% of individuals, it’s not present erythema neither edema and hiperkeratosis average area was little(1,6 cm2) and the 72 % of indivíduals not presented photoaging. It is concluded that the dark purple- corn extract possesses photoprotective effect in front of the radiation harmful activity UV - C.
