Resumen
El presente estudio de investigación titulado: “Conocimientos y Prácticas de Bioseguridad en enfermeras del Hospital Público de Chepén 2016”, es de tipo descriptivo correlacional, con enfoque cuantitativo, se realizo con el objetivo de determinar el nivel de conocimiento y prácticas de bioseguridad de las enfermeras del Hospital Público de Chepén. El universo muestral estuvo conformado por 20 enfermeras (os) que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Se utilizaron dos instrumentos, el primero fue para medir el conocimiento de las enfermeras sobre bioseguridad y el segundo una lista de cotejo para verificar las practicas de bioseguridad de las enfermeras. Los datos obtenidos fueron sistematizados y procesados en el software estadístico IBM SPSS v. 24.00, se aplico la prueba estadística de independencia de criterios a través de la chí cuadrado (X2), Los hallazgos encontrados fueron: el 90% de enfermeras tiene conocimientos buenos sobre bioseguridad y el 10% tiene conocimientos regulares. Respecto a las prácticas de bioseguridad, los resultados muestran que un 90%, de enfermeras realiza prácticas adecuadas mientras que un 10%, realiza prácticas inadecuadas. Se encontró que existe una relación entre conocimientos y prácticas de bioseguridad.
