dc.description.abstractThe Motu proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus, by Pope Francis, introduces important modifications in the processes to declare the nullity of marriage. This essay analyzes some of the challenges that the reform proposes, through the main innovations introduced, especially regarding the objective pursued by the Legislator, noting, also, that in this first stage of its implementation, constitutes a propitious area for the doctrine to present the successes and disadvantages of procedural reform.
