This article reviews the experience of modern architecture in direct relationship with wood as a material: from its power as a technical solution of the parts and their assembly as an expression, to the expressive capacity that its tactile dimension and its cultural history suggest, through the new spatial dimension that both make possible and indicates the architectural conditions the material proposed to Chilean culture.
