Optimizar los vínculos entre las Instituciones de Educación Superior y los entes empleadores para favorecer los procesos de inserción en el campo laboral, debe constituir una prioridad dentro de los aspectos a considerar en el marco de la Educación Superior ecuatoriana y también de cualquier parte del mundo. En atención a ello  la  investigación se centró en analizar la problemática presentada por los profesionales de la Facultad de Administración de Empresas de la Universidad de Chimborazo (ESPOCH), de Ecuador, en relación con su inserción al campo laboral.  La metodología seguida fue de tipo descriptiva no experimental, acompañada de métodos teóricos y de la encuesta como técnica de recolección de datos. Se determinó de forma aleatoria una muestra de 64 egresados de ambos sexos de las carreras de Auditoria, Marketing, Finanzas, Contabilidad y Gerencia en Transporte. El análisis de los resultados permitió mediante la aplicación de la estadística descriptiva e inferencial, corroborar el nivel de empleabilidad logrado por los egresados objeto de estudio, describiendo el comportamiento de variables tales como: edad, género, nivel jerárquico, tipo de organización, actividad económica, funciones, entre otras. Igualmente se muestra un análisis sobre la cantidad de graduados de otras Instituciones de Educación Superior y la proyección para los próximos años en cuanto a necesidad de profesionales. Todo esto favoreció mediante el análisis inferencial determinar las realidades y desafíos para los próximos 5 años en cuanto al campo laboral de los graduados de la Facultad.Optimizing the links between Higher Education Institutions and employers to promote labour insertion processes should be a priority within the aspects to be considered within the framework of Ecuadorian Higher Education and also anywhere in the world. In this regard, the research focused on analyzing the problems presented by professionals of the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Chimborazo (ESPOCH), Ecuador, in relation to its insertion into the field of work. The methodology followed was of a non-experimental descriptive type, accompanied by theoretical methods and the survey as a data collection technique. A sample of 64 graduates from both sexes of auditing, marketing, finance, accounting and transportation management careers was randomly determined. The analysis of the results allowed through the application of descriptive and inferential statistics, to corroborate the level of employability achieved by the graduates under study, describing the behavior of variables such as: age, gender, hierarchical level, type of organization, economic activity, functions, among others. It also shows an analysis of the number of graduates from other Higher Education Institutions and the projection for the coming years in terms of the need for professionals. All this favored through inferential analysis to determine the realities and challenges for the next 5 years in terms of the field of work of the graduates of the Faculty.
