El presente estudio se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la prefactibilidad del desarrollo de una plataforma web de comercio electrónico para las MiPymes en San Pedro Sula. El estudio realizado comprendió dos poblaciones, la primera de ellas, consta de las MiPymes y la segunda que corresponde a los consumidores finales que se tomó en base a la población económicamente activa. El estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, con topología transversal y un alcance descriptivo; debido a la situación presentada durante el desarrollo de dicha investigación, la muestra de cada una de las poblaciones fue tomada en base a un muestreo probabilístico. Los resultados obtenidos, indican que en existe una demanda de 14,560 MiPymes, por locual, anualmente generarían como mínimo 267 suscripciones, en cuanto a la TIR, se obtuvo un porcentaje de 43%, siendo mayor que el costo capital de 29.71% en donde se puede afirmar que se acepta la hipótesis de investigación planteada para el estudio, rechazando la hipótesis nula.The present study was carried out with the objective of determining the pre-feasibility of the development of an electronic commerce web platform for MSMEs in San Pedro Sula. The study carried out comprised two populations, the first one consisting of the MSMEs and the second corresponding to the final consumers, which was taken on the basis of the economically active population. The study had a quantitative approach, with a cross-sectional topology and a descriptive scope; Due to the situation presented during the development of said research, the sample of each of the populations was taken based on a probabilistic sampling. The results obtained indicate that there is a demand of 14,560 MSMEs, therefore, annually they would generate at least 267 subscriptions, in terms of the IRR, a percentage of 43% was obtained, being higher than the capital cost of 29.71% where it can be said that the research hypothesis proposed for the study is accepted, rejecting the null hypothesis.
