El presente estudio busca definir las necesidades y principales elementos con los que debería de contar un sistema de expedientes médicos digitales en el Centro de Salud Odilón Renderos Ubicado en Villa Adela. Su objetivo es conocer el manejo actual del expediente médico, las dificultades que se presentan en el centro y establecer un modelo de sistema de expediente digital para el mismo. Para obtener la información se analizaron dos grupos; los pacientes que asisten y el personal del centro de salud, ambos con instrumentos diferentes para conocer la realidad entorno al expediente médico. Se entrevistaron personas de otros centros de salud en el país para conocer su experiencia con expedientes médicos digitales, de igual manera se hizo una revisión de literatura y un análisis de caso de un Hospital de Buenos Aires. La investigación demostró que el expediente en papel conlleva dificulta la búsqueda de información y su traslado, así como el limitado acceso de forma inmediata. El nuevo sistema estará compuesto por dispositivos de almacenamiento de datos, computadoras para el ingreso de los datos y una red de internet. El proyecto tiene cuatro fases repositorio digital, sistema digital, capacitación y entrega final con un monto total de 1,465,685.55 lempiras.The purpose of this thesis was to define the needs and main elements that a digital medical record system should have at the Odilón Renderos Health Center located in Villa Adela. Its objective was to know the current management of the physical health record, the difficulties that arise in the center and to establish a model of a digital file system for it. To obtain the information, two groups were analyzed; the patients who attend and the health center staff, both with different instruments to know the reality around the medical record. People from other health centers in the country were interviewed to learn about their experience with digital medical records, in the same way a literature review and a case analysis of a Hospital in Buenos Aires were carried out. The investigation showed that the paper file makes it difficult to find information and transfer it, as well as limited immediate access. The new system will be made up of data storage devices, computers for data entry, connected through the Internet.
