La em presa Gildan Activewear localizada en R ío na nce, Cortésotorgó la oportunidad de conocer su s procesos log ísticos, sie ndo u na de las em presas m aquilad oras m ás fuertes en Honduras, con 13 plantas a nivel nacional y presencia im portante en C entroam érica. El objetivo de las tareas propuesta s por la em presa, era dar a conocer cada uno de sus procesos logísticos y po ner en práctica la teoría adquir ida a lo largo de la carrera de R elaciones Internaciona les.La práctica se realizó en dos áreas. La prim era es conocida com o el área de com pras nacionales e internaciona les, don de su función se basa en la com pra de los repuestos de las m áqu inas q ue se utilizan para las produccione s específicas de las 13 planta s. La segunda área se especializa en los m étodo s de exportació n e im portación a nive l nacional e internac ional, sie ndo su func ión establecer m ecanism os lo gístico s para m over cargas a través de lo s tres m ed ios de transportes (aereo, marítim oy terrestre), y que lleguen a su destino lom áspron to. Siendo una de las áreas m ás im portan tes para el desarrollo económ ico de la em presa. Las actividades se basaron en diez sem anas, realizando dos sem anas en el área de com pras nacionales e internaciona les, conocien do cada una de las funciones del de partam ento y realizan do recorrido s por cada espacio q ue conform a d icho de partam ento. Las siguien tes sem anas se desarro llaron en una de las pla ntas (H ond uras Tex tiles, “HONTEX”) m ostrando detalladam ente cada función de los em pleados en el departam ento, otorgan do tareas de tem as específico s, com o procedim ien tos desglosad os de exportacio nes e im portacio nes. De igual m anera se llevaron a cabo actividades para obtener el conocim iento de los reportes anuales que reflejan el funcionam iento y crecim iento de cada planta. Obtener la opor tun idad de poner en práctica la teoría aprend ida en la carrera de R elaciones Internac ionale s, se vo lv ió u n reflejo de enten dim ie nto, realizan do la práctica de una manera satisfactoria. Las áreas de oportunidad para un funcionam ien to m ás rápido siem pre están sien do exp loradas por personal capacitado, lo cual genera cam bios constan tes para un m ejor desarrollo a nive l sistem ático y econ óm ico.This report describes the activities and specific areas in which the internship was developed. The company Gildan Activewear located in Rio nce, Cortés provided the opportunity to learn about its logistics processes, being one of the strongest manufacturing companies in Honduras, with 13 plants nationwide and an important presence in Central America. The objective of the tasks proposed by the company was to show each of its logistics processes and put into practice the theory acquired throughout the International Relations career. The first is known as the national and international purchasing area, where its function is based on the purchase of spare parts for the machines used for the specific productions of the 13 plants. The second area specializes in the methods of national and international export and import, its function is to establish the logistic mechanisms to move the cargo through the three means of transportation (air, sea and land), so that it arrives at its destination as soon as possible. This is one of the most important areas for the company's economic development. The activities were based on ten weeks, two of them in the area of national and international trade, getting to know each of the functions of the department and touring each of the areas that compose it. The following weeks were carried out in one of the plants (HONTEX) showing in detail each function of the employees of the department, giving tasks on specific topics, such as procedures for exports and imports. Likewise, activities were carried out to learn about the annual reports that reflect the operation and growth of each plant. Getting the opportunity to put into practice the theory learned in the International Relations career, was a reflection of understanding, and the practice was performed satisfactorily. The areas of opportunity for a faster operation are always explored by the trained personnel, which generates constant changes for a better development at a systematic and economic level.
