El presente documento es el producto de la investigación realizada con el objetivo de potenciar la incorporación de elementos de mampostería al sistema estructuras de edificios de 5 niveles, mediante una guía de construcción de paredes de mampostería para edificios, para realizar diseños más eficientes y seguros. El desarrollo se basó en un enfoque mixto predominando el enfoque cuantitativo conociendo los diferentes factores que están involucrados en el comportamiento estructural de Sistemas Combinados y comparaciones con Marcos Rígidos. Con la inclusión de elementos de mampostería se pueden obtener resultados positivos si se conoce su comportamiento e interacción con los otros elementos estructurales.This document presents a study with the main objective to maximize the incorporation of masonry structural elements for building of 5 stories high, through a guide for construction of buildings with masonry walls, with the purpose of developing more efficient and safer designs. This research was addressed with a mixed focus, mainly quantitative, studying different factors that are involved in the structural behavior of Dual Systems and comparing it with Rigid Frames. With the incorporation of masonry elements, it possible to obtain positive results if the behavior and the interaction with other structural elements is known.
