The work presented here aims to demonstrate the territorial physical growth Araguaína-TO on the east and northeast portion, in the approach area, and city network: the case of President Lula neighborhood. For achieving this, it sought theoretical basis for nationally renowned authors such as Milton Santos, Manuel Castells, Jacira Gaspar Garcia, Claudivan Santiago and others; in magazines, on the Internet and other on urbanization from the global space to the municipality under study for a better understanding of the spatial organization and the contradictions and agents who work in this process - causing sprawl, discontinuity of urban growth and spatial segregation areas less privileged in the cities; Finally, one can observe the role of geography in the formation of social spaces, aware the district population concerned in the search for adequate infrastructure along to the government on behalf of all the people residing in that area.O trabalho aqui apresentado visa demonstrar o crescimento físico territorial de Araguaína-TO na porção leste e nordeste, na aproximação território, cidade e rede: o caso do bairro Presidente Lula. Para realização deste, buscou-se embasamento teórico em autores de renome nacional, tais como: Milton Santos, Manoel Castells, Jacira Garcia Gaspar, Claudivan Santiago e outros mais; em revistas, na internet e outros sobre urbanização desde o espaço mundial até ao município em estudo para uma melhor compreensão da organização espacial bem como das contradições e agentes que atuam neste processo – provocando a expansão desordenada, a descontinuidade do crescimento urbano e a segregação espacial de áreas menos privilegiadas nas cidades; por último, pode-se observar o papel da Geografia na formação dos espaços sociais, conscientizando a população do bairro em questão na busca de infraestrutura adequada juntamente ao poder público em prol de todas as pessoas que residem naquela localidade.
