The migratory processes have always been constant and present in our history, it is undeniable that the various human displacements have contributed and continue to contribute to the cultural formation of peoples, and because of this process, it becomes difficult to define what would be a native culture of a people. The creationist practice of Tocantins developed on the basis of discourse, its territorial and ideological delimitations were created from its legal constitution. It urges to point out that, in problematizing migratory dilemmas with an emphasis on the Maranhão and Tocantins relationship, more precisely in the city of Araguaína, there is a need to listen to the agents who are the fruits of this relationship. Through the oral narratives it will be possible to understand how the migratory flow contributed and influenced the cultural, intellectual, ideological, representative and symbolic praxis developed in the city of Araguaína, as well as the effects of this symbiosis in the process of cultural transformation of that region.Os processos migratórios sempre se fizeram constantes e presentes na nossa história, é inegável que os diversos deslocamentos humanos contribuíram e continuam a contribuir para a formação cultural dos povos, e devido a esse processo, torna-se difícil definir o que seria cultura originária de um povo. A prática criacionista do Tocantins desenvolveu-se na base discursiva, as suas delimitações territoriais e ideológicas foram criadas a partir da sua constituição legal. Insta salientar que, ao problematizar os dilemas migratórios com ênfase na relação Maranhão e Tocantins mais precisamente na cidade de Araguaína, há uma necessidade de ouvir os agentes que são frutos dessa relação. Através das narrativas orais será possível depreender como o fluxo migratório contribuiu e influenciou nas práxis culturais, intelectuais, ideológicas, representativas e simbólicas desenvolvidas na cidade de Araguaína, assim como, os efeitos dessa simbiose no processo de transformação cultural dessa região.
