With the general objective to study the structure of a forest located on Plateau of Curuá-Una, it was utilized an area of 100 ha (Part 2 of Area II), which is part of the Forestry Manegement Project of SUDAM in accord with FCAP. The survey was made in two levels of approaches: for the trees with 10cm£DBH<45cm, were utilized 40 sample units, each one with 0,25 ha, and for the trees with DBH345cm, through a forestry census, where all the trees were measured. The evaluation of the forest was based on the study of floristic composition, diameter distribution, phytosociological parameters, diversity index, mixture quotient and homogeneity degree. On total, were found 3309 trees (DBH310cm), 1726 with DBH345cm and 1583 with 10cm£DBH<45cm, they were distributed into 182 species, with 43 families. Comming to the diameter distribution, the area studied, showed that the distribution doesn’t follow the specific standard, the tropical forests unaged. According to the phytosociological parameters, the most species abundant, the most dominant, the most frequent and the most value importance indexes are: Rinorea guianensis, Tetragastris panamensis, Manilkara huberi, Goupia
glabra, e Hymenolobium petraeum; and the most important families are: Violaceae, Burseraceae, Fabaceae, Sapotaceae and Vochysiaceae. The forest of this study has a diversity of index of Shannon-Weaver of 3.86 for the trees with DBH345cm and 3.206 for the trees with 10cm£DBH<45cm and Simpson index of 0.040 and 0.120 respectively. It was concluded, by the mixture quotient and homogeneity degree, that the forest is very heterogeneous.
