From the beginning of mankind, man has sought and used all the resources that have been within reach to have his basic needs. This search has required to evolve and improve the techniques for carrying out the job; where it has gone from the collection of fruits and the hunt, until the industrialization of the processes, for the elaboration of products and services, in which it has always been used of the workforce. During this process, different forms of work have been used such as slavery and feudalism and with the industrial revolution, labor relations between employers and workers emerged; The above has involved workers' struggles to obtain rights and guarantees in the performance of the work, including the protection of the health and physical integrity of workers due to the dangers and risks they face in their daily job. Currently with the technological advances and the new virtual tools, a new job modality has been designed and implemented that has been called Teleworking; this type of employment relationship has caused the concern that if teleworkers in Colombia, the name with which they have been identified by workers under this methodology, have the same guarantees as traditional workers against the system of labor hazards, which is the main objective of this literature review?Desde el principio de la humanidad, el hombre ha buscado y utilizados todos los medios que han estado a su alcance para suplir sus necesidades básicas. Esta búsqueda ha requerido evolucionar y mejorar las técnicas para la realización de las labores; donde se ha pasado de la recolección de frutas y la caza, hasta la industrialización de los procesos para la elaboración de productos y servicios, en la cual siempre se ha utilizado la mano de obra. Durante este proceso se ha hecho uso de diferentes formas de trabajos como la esclavitud y el feudalismo y con la revolución industrial surgieron las relaciones laborales entre patrones y trabajadores; lo anterior ha implicado luchas obreras para la obtención de derechos y garantías en la realización de las labores entre ellas, la protección de la salud y la integridad física de los trabajadores, debido a los peligros y riesgos a los que se enfrentan en su día a día. Actualmente con los avances tecnológicos y las nuevas herramientas virtuales, se ha diseñado e implementado una nueva modalidad de trabajo que ha sido llamada teletrabajo; esta modalidad de relación laboral ha hecho que surja la inquietud respecto a que si en Colombia los teletrabajadores, nombre que con que han sido identificados los trabajadores bajo esta metodología, poseen las mismas garantías que los trabajadores tradicionales frente al sistema de riesgos laborales, lo cual es el objetivo principal de esta revisión bibliográfica.
