This research aimed to identify the influence of affective bonds in the patient and family companion relationship in the hospitalization process in the patient's perception. This is an exploratory and qualitative field research. The type of sample chosen was non-probabilistic for accessibility, and 5 patients from the pre and postoperative sector were interviewed in a hospital in the city of Tubarão / SC. As a data collection instrument, the semi-structured interview was used. The results revealed that the affective bonds in the patient and family companion relationship in the patient's perception in the hospitalization process, is influenced by feelings, thoughts and attitudes, and the importance and strengthening of the family affective bond.Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo identificar a influência dos vínculos afetivos na relação paciente e acompanhante familiar no processo de hospitalização na percepção do paciente. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo com caráter exploratório e qualitativo. O tipo de amostra escolhido foi a não-probabilística por acessibilidade, sendo entrevistadas cinco pacientes do setor pré e pós-operatório internadas em um hospital no município de Tubarão/SC. Como instrumento de coleta de dados foi utilizada a entrevista semiestruturada. Os resultados revelaram que os vínculos afetivos na relação paciente e acompanhante familiar na percepção do paciente no processo na hospitalização, há influência de sentimentos, pensamentos e atitudes, e a importância e fortalecimento do vínculo afetivo familiar.
