This article presents a discussion about the maker methodology, with the objective of analyze their possibilities of contribution and their limits in the teaching process. Methodologically, the research is characterized as bibliographic and exploratory. This In this way, we sought the theoretical contribution of authors who highlighted the maker movement, its transposition to education, as well as the active methodologies. It was found, through of an intervention proposal created by us, that schools need a investment in technology, infrastructure and teacher training. However, although information technologies are part of the maker methodology, their configurations in the schools need to be rethought, making several adaptations necessary for their development.Este artigo apresenta uma discussão acerca da metodologia maker, com o objetivo de analisar suas possibilidades de contribuição e seus limites no processo de ensino. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa se caracteriza como bibliográfica e exploratória. Desta maneira, buscou-se a contribuição teórica de autores que evidenciaram o movimento maker, sua transposição para educação, assim como as metodologias ativas. Verificou-se, por meio de uma proposta de intervenção criada por nós, que as escolas necessitam de um investimento em tecnologia, infraestrutura e formação de professores. Contudo, embora as tecnologias da informação façam parte da metodologia maker, suas configurações nas escolas precisam ser repensadas, fazendo-se necessárias diversas adaptações para seu desenvolvimento.
