This paper presents the significant changes occurring in the conduct of foreign policy since the Chilean 70s until the year 2010. Analyzing the period, the external and internal factors that boosted the economy during the dictatorial period with General Augusto Pinochet that began with the 1973 coup, the government of Salvador Allende, and only ended in 1989 with the end of the Cold War. In 1990, the country goes through the democratic transition through the pursuit of international integration and consolidation of bilateral and multilateral agreements within political, economic and social. Fostering democratic politics the four presidents of the party Coalición postdemocratic transition: Patrício Aylwin, Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle, Ricardo Lagos and Michelle Bachelet contributed to driving a transition from dictatorship to a Chilean Republic peacefully increasingly prosperous. With greater political equality and a stable economy, the aim is the recognition of a new Chile, a country concerned with education, health, welfare of all Chileans.Neste trabalho, apresentamos as mudanças significativas ocorridas na conduta da política externa Chilena desde a década de 70 até o ano de 2010. Analisando no período, os fatores externos e internos que dinamizaram a economia ao longo do período ditatorial com o general Augusto Pinochet que se iniciou com o golpe de 1973, no governo de Salvador Allende, e só terminou em 1989, com o fim da Guerra Fria. No ano de 1990, o país passa pela transição democrática, através da busca pela inserção internacional e consolidação de acordos bilaterais e multilaterais no âmbito politico, econômico e social. Fomentando as políticas democráticas os quatro presidentes do partido Coalición póstransição democrática: Patrício Aylwin, Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle, Ricardo Lagos e Michelle Bachelet contribuíram para condução de uma transição da ditadura para uma República Chilena de forma pacífica cada vez mais próspera. Com uma maior igualdade política e uma economia estável, visa-se o reconhecimento de um novo Chile, um país preocupado com a educação, saúde, bem-estar de todos os chilenos.
