dc.descriptionO problema que o presente artigo se propõe a investigar refere-se à pertinência do interculturalismo para a questão imigratória, em especial, em Portugal e na Espanha. Seu argumento central baseia-se em uma perspectiva polissêmica sobre interculturalismo, isto é, o interculturalismo como chave analítica, como expressão de políticas de integração e gestão e como tradução da sociedade do consumo. Propomos, assim, que o interculturalismo oferece possibilidades analíticas para compreender a diversidade cultural e suas tensões entre diferenças e desigualdades, que dentro dos limites políticos dos Estados-nação representou avanços quando comparado com outros modelos anteriores e nos permite pensar várias dimensões da diversidade cultural produzida pela presença de imigrantes. O artigo foi desenvolvido com base em pesquisa bibliográfica, observação direta e entrevistas qualitativas e pretende oferecer contribuições para pensar os limites e avanços do debate teórico e político sobre as questões migratórias em especial nos 15 primeiros anos do século XXI. dc.descriptionThe point of this article refers to the relevance of interculturalism to the immigration question, especially, in Portugal and Spain. Its central argument is based on the multisemics perspective about interculturalism, that is, interculturalism like an analytic key, like the integration politics for immigrants, and, like translation by consumer society. We propose, therefore, that the interculturalism offers analytic possibilities to understand the cultural diversity and its tensions between the differences and inequality; that, within the Nacional-state, interculturalism a more suitable model than those previously tested, and, the interculturalism allows us to think about various quotidian life dimensions. The article was developed based in bibliography research, direct observation and qualitative interviews and the article intend to offer contributions towards thinking about the limits and advances of the immigration question during the first 15 years of 21st century.
