dc.descriptionEm vários momentos da história do Brasil as batalhas dos Guararapes são objeto de afirmação da identidade nacional. Apresentada como palco da união das três raças para a expulsão de um inimigo comum, criou-se o discurso de surgimento de uma guarda nacionalista, preocupada em defender os interesses do reino. O Parque Histórico Nacional dos Guararapes foi o resultado capitaneado pelo governo federal em fazer emergir espaços para exaltação de uma narrativa histórica que antecedeu à própria existência do Estado brasileiro, como resultado do Projeto Rondon. Mostrar a educação como espaço para disputa de narrativas acerca de uma nacionalidade brasileira que remete à ausência de divergências é o objetivo deste artigo. Espera-se, com isto, suscitar a leitura crítica de um momento da história da educação no Brasil, quando vozes dissonantes não estavam autorizadas. Palavras-chave: Identidade Nacional. dc.descriptionAt various times in the history of Brazil, the battles of the Guararapes are the object of affirmation of national identity. Presented as the stage for the union of the three races for the expulsion of a common enemy, the discourse of the emergence of a nationalist guard was created, concerned with defending the interests of the kingdom. The Guararapes National Historical Park was the result led by the federal government in raising spaces for the exaltation of a historical narrative that precede the very existence of the Brazilian State, as result the Rondon Project. Aim education as a space for disputing narratives about a Brazilian nationality that refers to the absence of differences is the objective of this article. It is hoped, with this, to provoke the critical reading of a moment in the history of education in Brazil, when dissonant voices were not authorized. Keywords: National Identity.
