dc.descriptionThis article brings some reflections on the themes of submission, silencing and violence against women: physical, sexual and psychological and feminicide from the analytical reading of two characters from the novel The mother of his mother and his daughters, (2002), by Maria José Silveira. We intend to show how the characters appear submissive to men and suffer different types of silences. For the development of this analysis, it is based on the considerations of Heleieth Saffioti (2015), about violence in women and the notes of John Stuart Mill, (2006), on the relationship of marriage as a form of female submission. Thus, there is a literary stance of questioning violence against women in a patriarchal context.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artigo traz algumas reflexões sobre os temas submissão, silenciamento e a violência contra a mulher: física, sexual e psicológica e feminicídio a partir da leitura analítica de duas personagens do romance A mãe da mãe da sua mãe e suas filhas, (2002), de Maria José Silveira. Pretendemos mostrar como as personagens aparecem submissas aos homens e sofrem diversos tipos de silenciamentos.  Para o desenvolvimento desta análise, tem-se como base as considerações de Heleieth Saffioti (2015), acerca da violência em mulheres e dos apontamentos de John Stuart Mill, (2006), sobre a relação do casamento como forma de submissão feminina. Desse modo, observa-se uma postura literária de questionamento da violência contra a mulher em um contexto patriarcal. pt-BR
