| dc.description | O presente estudo analisou as relações entre adesão e lócus de controle em hipertensos. Para tanto, participaram 176 adultos hipertensos, que estavam em tratamento com anti-hipertensivos. Utilizou três instrumentos: questionário com variáveis sociodemográficas, clínicas e hábitos de saúde, a escala de Adesão Terapêutica de Oito Itens de Morisky e a escala Multidimensional Health Locus of Control. Ao final, constatou-se que houve associação significativa entre adesão e lócus de controle, cuja relação se deu entre maior adesão e maior lócus externo. Sendo assim, é importante que o tratamento seja adequado à maneira de atribuir controlabilidade manifestada pelo indivíduo, a fim de favorecer a adesão._________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: This study analyzed the relationships between adherence to treatment and locus of control among hypertensive patients. The sample was 176 hypertensive adults, who were being treated with antihypertensive. Was applied a questionnaire about sociodemographic, clinical and health habits profiles, the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale and the Multidimensional Health Locus of Control Scale. It has found that there is association between compliance to treatment and locus of control, in which the relationship is between greater compliance and greater external locus. Finally, it´s suggested that the treatment being appropriate for the way of assign controllability by the individual for to encourage adherence to treatment. | |
