Resumo: Usando da figura dos anjos como metáforas do anseio humano por alcançar a plenitude, o conhecimento universal e, por conseguinte, o controle sobre pretensas leis gerais da natureza, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo indicar e problematizar algumas diferentes trajetórias de pensamento desenvolvidas a partir desse desejo totalizador da humanidade. Dentre essas trajetórias teríamos a da religião e a da ciência moderna que, apesar de aparentemente se oporem em termos de crenças e metodologias, comungaram da mesma perspectiva de buscar por universais: fosse a verdade em Deus, fosse a verdade na Razão. Tentando, contudo, não reduzir o real a uma dimensão transcendente, o presente texto defende a perspectiva de que a realidade não existe independente dos seres humanos que a praticam no calor do convívio cotidiano, sendo que mesmo os conceitos de Deus, Razão, Verdade e Ciência não podem ser pensados sem também serem levadas em consideração as redes de saberes e fazeres nas quais foram construídos.

The angels' desire
Abstract: Using the figure of angels as metaphors for the human desire to reach the fullness, the universal knowledge and therefore the control over the alleged general laws of nature, the present work aims to indicate and problematize a few different paths of thought developed from this totalizing desire of the mankind. Among these paths, there would be the religion and the modern science which, even when they seem to oppose in terms of beliefs and methodologies, they share the same perspective in searching for the so called universals: be it the truth in God or the truth in Reason. However, trying not to reduce the real to a transcendente dimension, this paper maintains the perspective that reality does not exist independently from the human beings who practice it amid the warmth of the everyday life, being that even the concepts of God, Reason, Truth and Science cannot be understood without taking into account the networks of knowledge and practices in which they were built.
