dc.descriptionThe present work describes the analysis of the lateral instability conditions of the viaduct beams, under construction at Rua Olegário Maciel, corner of Avenida Rondon Pacheco, in the city of Uberlândia, MG. Based on the physical and geometric characteristics of the work, some lifting conditions are evaluated using the VT Lifting Analysis (2013) spreadsheet to obtain the internal stresses, displacements and rotations. The calculation of the cracking moment and the critical moment by lateral instability is developed in order to quantify the safety situation at this stage of handling. Finally, suggestions are presented, based on the analytical results obtained, that provide a safe and economical lifting.

dc.descriptionO presente trabalho descreve a análise realizada com relação às condições de instabilidade lateral das vigas do viaduto, em construção, da Rua Olegário Maciel esquina com a Avenida Rondon Pacheco, na cidade de Uberlândia, MG. Com base nas características físicas e geométricas da obra, em execução, são avaliadas algumas condições de içamento, utilizando para obtenção dos esforços internos, deslocamentos e rotações a planilha eletrônica VT Lifting Analysis (2013). O cálculo do momento de fissuração e do momento crítico por instabilidade lateral é desenvolvido a fim de quantificar a situação de segurança nesta fase de manuseio. Finalmente, são apresentadas sugestões, baseadas nos resultados analíticos obtidos, que propiciem um içamento seguro e econômico.
