| dc.description | This thesis work the concept of freedom from the reading of Hannah Arendt. This time, it develops a comparison between ancient liberty, inspired by the Greek polis and the modern freedom, pointing to a split of political reality. For this purpose, we analyze in detail the three activities of the Vita Activa action, labor and work, from which the pass to homo sapiens, the foundation of the public sphere and the full exercise of citizenship in a space of plurality and pluralism presents necessarily mediated by discourse. This is also the time when the word freedom gets a real feature. Still, it is demonstrated totalitarianism as a recent event and how this regime, through ideology, creates terror, individuals without creating identities. At the end, is understanding the sense that Arendt gave the Augustinian concept of Amor Mundi in The Human Condition, which closes this work. | |

| dc.description | A presente Dissertação trabalha o conceito de Liberdade a partir da leitura de Hannah Arendt. Desta feita, desenvolve-se uma comparação entre a liberdade antiga, inspirada pela polis grega e a liberdade moderna, apontando para uma cisão da realidade política. Para tanto, analisa-se forma detalhada as três atividades da Vita Activa : a ação, o labor e o trabalho; donde o momento da passagem ao homo sapiens, da fundação da esfera pública e do exercício pleno da cidadania num espaço de pluralidade e pluralismo apresenta-se necessariamente mediado pelo discurso. É também esse o momento em que a palavra liberdade ganha uma feição concreta. Ainda, demonstra-se o totalitarismo como um evento recente e o modo como esse regime, através da ideologia, instaura o terror, criando indivíduos sem identidades. Ao fim, é compreensão do sentido que Arendt atribuiu ao conceito agostiniano de Amor Mundi em A Condição Humana, o que fecha este trabalho. | |
