| dc.description | As well as going public, the opposite phenomenon also generates speculation in the financial market. Thus, this article aims to analyze the possible determining factors in the voluntary delisting process of publicly traded companies listed on Brazil, Bolsa, Balcão (B3). Methodologically, this research related a set of variables collected from secondary data available in the database of the Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM), B3 and the Economática platform. The sample comprises 74 non-financial companies that voluntarily deregistered from 2015 to August 2021. For the analysis, Logit Regressions were performed using three distinct models: (i) the variables at the same time t as the dependent variable (probability of delisting): (ii) variables lagged by 1-year (t-1) and (iii) variables lagged by 2 years (t-2). It is concluded that the EBITDA, only at time t, when the company dropped out and the variables sales growth (CVEND) and size (LNTAM), both for the period without lag (t) and for the lagged periods in one year (t-1) and in two years (t-2) were statistically significant, and for this research, the factors and/or determinants that led companies to withdraw voluntarily were identified. | |

| dc.description | Assim como abrir seu capital, o fenômeno inverso também gera especulações no mercado financeiro. Desta forma, este artigo se propôs a analisar os possíveis fatores determinantes no processo de deslistagem voluntária de empresas de capital aberto listadas na Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão (B3). De forma metodológica, essa pesquisa relacionou um conjunto de variáveis coletadas junto a dados secundários disponíveis na base de dados da Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (CVM), da B3 e da plataforma Economática. A amostra compreende 74 empresas não financeiras que cancelaram seu registro voluntariamente, no período de 2015 a agosto de 2021. Para a análise, foram realizadas Regressões Logit utilizando três modelos distintos: (i) as variáveis no mesmo tempo t da variável dependente (probabilidade de fechamento de capital): (ii) variáveis defasadas em 1 ano (t-1) e (iii) variáveis defasadas em 2 anos (t-2). Conclui-se que o EBITDA, apenas no momento t, em que a empresa se deslistou e as variáveis crescimento das vendas (CVEND) e o tamanho (LNTAM), tanto para o período sem defasagem (t), quanto para os períodos defasados em um ano (t-1) e em dois anos (t-2) se mostraram estatisticamente significantes, sendo, para esta pesquisa, os fatores e/ou determinantes que levaram as companhias a se deslistarem voluntariamente, que foram identificados. | |
