| dc.description | The objective of this work is to construct a history of the Amapa Institute of Education
(IETA), a school for training teachers in the high school level, created in Macapa (AP) in 1949
without proper operating condition, but was gradually acquiring an image of quality public school and
enormous prestige among the community of Amapá, until its dissolution in 2005, claiming the
restrictions of LDBEN training of teachers in the high school level and the need for physical space to
implement State University. The chosen methodology was historical research, qualitative, of literature
(texts, articles and books on the IETA), documentary (basic documents and pictures IETA) and field
(memoir tells of local), having as epistemological materialism dialectical, methodological foundation
in the thought of Justino de Magalhães, Paolo Nosella and Esther Buffa, as the application of the
dialectical method of research the history of educational institutions, and Maria Cecilia Minayo, for
whom dialectics is a way of thought and research craft an intellectual. The common thread of research
are the representations of work and knowledge of the teacher teaching the early grades in school
culture of IETA, the way in which they appear in the speech of the actors of the educational practice
every day in the curriculum, the distribution of physical space and the architectural designs of the
building. In the data collection techniques were used in the methodology inspired by Carlos
Ginzbourg. The working hypothesis of the thesis provides the title, because education by example is
understood as the representation of instituting educational practice throughout the history of the IETA
thus a constant along the trajectory of the school. Thus, the history of the Institute of Education is
designed in five phases: pioneer (representations by certain teacher s janarismo New State),
consolidation (firm to the representation of education for example), height (maximum of IETA\'s
prestige in the community Amapá); crisis and extinction. | |

| dc.description | O objetivo deste trabalho é a construção de uma história do Instituto de Educação do Amapá
(IETA), uma escola voltada para a formação de professores em nível de segundo grau, criada em
Macapá (AP) em 1949, sem condições mínimas de funcionamento, mas que gradativamente foi
corrigindo as suas deficiências e adquirindo uma imagem de escola pública de qualidade, além de
enorme prestígio junto à comunidade, até sua extinção em 2005, sob a alegação das restrições da
LDBEN à formação de professores em nível de segundo grau e da necessidade de seu espaço físico
para a implantação da universidade estadual. A metodologia escolhida foi a pesquisa histórica,
qualitativa, bibliográfica (textos, artigos e livros sobre o IETA), documental (documentos básicos e
imagens do IETA) e de campo (fala de memorialistas locais e atores da prática educativa da escola),
tendo como referencial epistemológico o materialismo dialético, fundamentação metodológica para a
aplicação do método dialético de investigação à história das instituições escolares o pensamento de
Justino de Magalhães, Paolo Nosella e Ester Buffa, e em Maria Cecília Minayo, para quem a dialética
é um caminho do pensamento e a pesquisa um artesanato intelectual. As principais categorias de
análise e fio condutor da pesquisa são as representações do trabalho e do conhecimento docente do
professor das séries iniciais na cultura escolar do IETA, na forma em que se apresentam na fala dos
atores da prática educativa cotidiana, nas grades curriculares e no currículo, na distribuição do espaço
físico e nas concepções arquitetônicas do prédio. Para a coleta de dados foram utilizadas técnicas
inspiradas na metodologia de Carlos Ginzbourg. A hipótese de trabalho fornece o título à tese,
porquanto a educação pelo exemplo é entendida como a representação instituinte da prática educativa
ao longo de toda a história do IETA, logo, uma constante ao longo da trajetória da escola. Assim, a
história desse Instituto de Educação é concebida em cinco fases: pioneirismo (representações docentes
determinadas pelo janarismo estadonovista); consolidação (firma-se a representação da educação pelo
exemplo); auge (o máximo do prestígio do IETA junto à comunidade amapaense); crise e extinção. | |
