dc.descriptionThe teaching methodology and the level of certain intelligence already developed in the student impact on the learning process and the improvement of the multiple intelligences. Considering the importance of Multiple Intelligences, classified by Gardner, the primary objective of this study is to identify the predominant intelligence in accounting undergraduate students of the Federal University of Uberlândia, using the Multiple Intelligences Inventory (IIM) created by Armstrong. The bibliographical research and the survey with quantitative data were used as methodology. Data analysis was performed using non-parametric KruskalWallis (KW) tests and the Wilcoxon test. Data were collected from 109 students of the undergraduate course in Accounting Sciences of the Federal University of Uberlândia. From the possible inferences from the observation of the data, it was verified that for the variables income, age and shift, there were significant differences when compared to Intrapersonal and Interpersonal intelligences. For the income variable, there are significant differences between the comparisons for the Naturalistic and Musical type intelligences. Regarding the sex variable, the intelligence that presented a significant difference was Logical-Mathematics.

dc.descriptionA metodologia de ensino e o nível de determinada inteligência já desenvolvida no discente impactam no processo de aprendizagem e no aperfeiçoamento das inteligências múltiplas. Considerando a importância das Inteligências Múltiplas, classificadas por Gardner, o objetivo primário deste estudo é identificar a inteligência predominante em acadêmicos do curso de Ciências Contábeis da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, utilizando o Inventário das Inteligências Múltiplas (IIM) criado por Armstrong. Utilizou-se como metodologia a pesquisa bibliográfica e a de levantamento com dados quantitativos. A análise dos dados foi feita utilizando os testes não-paramétricos de Kruskal-Wallis (KW) e o teste de Wilcoxon. Foram coletados dados de 109 alunos do curso de graduação em Ciências Contábeis da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Das inferências possíveis pela observação dos dados, verificou-se que para as variáveis renda, idade e turno, existiram diferenças significativas quando comparadas as inteligências Intrapessoal e Interpessoal. Para a variável renda, destaca-se diferenças significativas entre as comparações para as inteligências tipo Naturalística e Musical. Com relação a variável sexo, a inteligência que apresentou diferença significativa foi a Lógico-Matemática.
